Ms Ndey Tapha Sosseh is the Chairperson of the Board’. She is the former Special Advisor to the Minister of Information and Communication Infrastructure for the Government of The Gambia. She has vast experience working with journalist associations in all the ECOWAS member states and Mauritania. Since 2014, she focused largely on training women journalists in gender-sensitive reporting and women reporting project. Ms Sosseh has travelled extensively all over Africa to help build stronger journalist unions and works on developing projects for female journalists.

 As treasurer of the Federation of African Journalists, she contributed to the creation of the All Africa Gender Council for journalists. Experienced journalist and newspaper editor. Ndey is a successful fundraiser, media development expert and a training coordinator. Ndey Tapha is the former secretary-general, Coalition for Change, The Gambia (CCG) and Civil Society Associations Gambia, a former president of The Gambia Press Union, a former treasurer of the Federation of African Journalists, a member of the board of Nobert Zongo Centre for Investigative Journalism (CENOZO), Burkina Faso and All Africa Human Rights Defenders Network (AHRD) Uganda. Ndey has an M.A. in International Press Journalism, the University of Central England in Birmingham, United Kingdom. Ndey Tapha co-chairs the Leadership Council and is helping the organisation shape and re-shape its communication and media programmes.
