The Human Rights Advancement, Development and Advocacy Centre (HURIDAC) prioritise thematic issues in the field of human rights, development, democracy and environment.
HURIDAC first STRATEGIC PLAN is a five years plan that highlights the organisation strategies to achieve its goals and objectives by using the medium of ‘advocacy’; ‘Capacity Building ‘ and ‘Policy and Legal reform’ to advance the issues of Environment , Rule of Laws and; Election and Human Rights.
In achieving the organisation goals and objectives, HURIDAC partners , collaborates and network with various government departments , international , regional and national non-governmental organisations in West Africa. HURIDAC in collaboration with CISLAC unveiled a report on the human rights perspective of the 2023 presidential election at its office in Lagos State.
There were 216 instances of violence and abuses of human rights reported in the 2023 National Elections report. 187 of those cases involved unlawful killings, while 21 involved injuries and the destruction of eight or more houses.
HURIDAC provides problem solving research on various issues of interest, need assessment for institutions and strategic plans development for organisations.
